GAY SUNSHINE speaks directly to people who want the brands they support to align with the way they live their lives. Ultimately, we exist in the world of our consumers; they’re our contemporaries. As we grow and change GAY SUNSHINE needs to do the same, which is why we choose to create and operate entirely out of sunny Los Angeles, California.

When developing the brand it felt more important to have a tighter product and a clear conscience than a higher margin. Producing locally allows us to waste less and react quickly when needed. With over 10 years in high-end product development and production management for other brands, we felt it was finally time to utilize our expertise for the greater gay good. All our garments are created, fit, cut, sewn, dyed, and embellished entirely in Los Angeles — no pre-made blanks!

Our goal has always been to elevate the offerings made for the queer community by approaching them with greater thought and intention. We love a rainbow but need clothes for every day, not just June. So browse, buy, and remember… we’re still gay July through May!
